Shettima, govs, others storm Owo for Akeredolu’s funeral

Owo, the hometown of the late previous Senator of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, on Friday facilitated a large number of noticeable figures, counting Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

 

Among those who moreover came to play their final regards to the late senator were the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, serving governors, previous governors, congresspersons, and priests, among others.

 

The roads of Owo were lined with grievers and spectators as the dignitaries from different states made their way to The Cathedral Church of Holy person Andrew, scene of the memorial service service.

The remains of Akeredolu was brought into the church at around 9:55 am with a watch of respect mounted by officers of the Amotekun Corps.

 

The late representative will be buried near to his Maranatha home at the Government Saved Zone, GRA, Owo.

 

Akeredolu, until his passing was the Chancellor of the Owo Anglican See.
