Malian behind Ibadan explosion – Residents

A Malian, who is into illicit mining exercises in a few parts of Oyo State, is behind the blast that happened in Ibadan on Tuesday, Every day POST has learnt.

 

Some of the inhabitants of the road where the occurrence happened told Day by day POST on Wednesday that the Malian was the one involving the building where the occurrence occurred.

 

DAILY POST reports that an blast happened at Dejo Oyelese near, Bodija Lodging Bequest in Ibadan on Tuesday.

 

Two individuals were affirmed dead, a few others harmed and property worth millions of naira destroyed.

 

An octogenarian, who talked with Day by day POST Tuesday evening, said that the Malian has been living in the house for a few years.

 

“He is from Mali. But I did’t know that he was keeping such explosives in the house. We know him to be a Malian. Everybody knows that he is doing unlawful mining.
